Job summary

A leading insurance brokerage in Plantation, Florida is seeking an experienced Underwriter to manage agency relationships and develop a book of business. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 3 years of commercial lines underwriting experience, and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and grow a book of business.
• Manage agency relationships and serve as lead client contact.

• Lead, train, and develop Assistant and Associate Underwriters.
• Monitor metrics to drive renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratio.
• Lead, train, and develop Assistant and Associate Underwriters.
• Travel as needed to foster client relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience required, excess & surplus lines experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing

• Travel if necessary in order to foster strong client relationships
