Job Description

This role owns and manages an assigned territory, driving profitable premium growth to meet financial and operational goals. Under limited to moderate supervision, manages diverse agency partnerships, handling 200+ agency storefronts across multiple states, and optimizes territory performance. Develops and executes strategies to achieve goals using company programs, tools, and resources, collaborating with internal partners.

Primary agency outreach is virtual, via audio or video conferences, supplemented by email and digital media.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned territory, driving profitable growth to meet targets.
  • Lead territory and agency management processes across multiple regions, including prospecting, planning, engagement, training, and partnership cultivation.
  • Establish trust as a trusted advisor, delivering product and underwriting training, supporting retention, and developing new business.
  • Create and execute agency strategies based on analysis, insights, and marketplace expertise to meet premium, profit, and new business goals.
  • Align plans with company strategies, including agency expansion and new product rollout.
  • Ensure quality of new business flow, appropriate book mix, and risk management within assigned territory.
  • Clarify appetite and target markets, addressing profit or quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and share industry intel.
  • Partner with Small Commercial Lines teams on shared agency assignments.
  • Utilize programs and tools to support agency management and development initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

The position is remote for candidates in Pennsylvania or Maryland. Candidates in Greater Cincinnati, OH, must commute to the Forest Park, OH office on Mondays.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; 3+ years of insurance industry experience.
  • Knowledge of company services, products, and industry trends.
  • Experience in revenue growth and sales success.
  • Proven partnership development, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance operations, underwriting, claims, and sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, business development, and time management skills.
  • Licensing as required by the state.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional overnight stays.
