Job summary

Shepherd Insurance, LLC is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to assist insurance advisors with handling and processing new and renewal personal lines business in accordance with agency procedures and guidelines. You will provide high-level support to obtain, maintain, expand, and service personal accounts, and deliver prompt, client-focused service to policyholders and carriers.

The role requires at least two years of experience, a valid state license, and knowledge of personal lines

Qualifications

Experience: At least two years in a similar position is desirable.
Required state licensing certification.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
Strong understanding of personal lines insurance coverages, forms, procedures and policy rating systems.
Familiar with MS Office products and agency management systems.

Responsibilities

Provide positive, prompt, and accurate service to clients.
Assist in marketing new and renewal business; evaluate premiums and prepare proposals and packets.
Assist advisors with cross-selling and account rounding.
Receive calls from clients and companies regarding policy coverage, claims or administrative needs; refer to advisor when necessary.
Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders and overdue items.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
