Qualifications

• Experience: At least two years in a similar position is desirable.
• Required state licensing certification.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, forms, procedures, and rating systems.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and an agency management system.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, prompt, and accurate service to clients.
• Coordinate with advisor to obtain policy information and maintain expiration control log.
• Assist in marketing new and renewal business; evaluate premiums and prepare proposals.
• Accompany insurance advisor to client meetings when requested.
• Check new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating and coverage; input transactions for billing.
• Respond to client or company inquiries about policy coverage, claims, or administrative needs.
