Job summary

First United Bank is seeking a Personal Lines Producer to drive new business growth through quoting, presenting, and closing Personal Lines opportunities. The role develops strong relationships with bank partners, clients, and referral sources and manages the new-business pipeline to meet production goals.

The position requires a state insurance license, a high school diploma, and preferred college education or designation.

Qualifications

• State Resident Insurance License required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
• College degree preferred.
• Personal Lines insurance and industry knowledge preferred.
• Industry designation, or willingness to obtain a designation, preferred.
• Prior sales, insurance, banking-referral, or relationship-development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quotes, presents, delivers, and sells Personal Lines new business opportunities.
• Meets or exceeds established monthly and annual new-business revenue, premium, policy-count, and/or activity goals.
• Develops strong working relationships with First United bankers, mortgage teams, and other internal referral partners.
• Responds promptly to incoming referrals and communicates status/outcome to referral partners.
• Maintains an accurate new-business pipeline and documents prospect activity, referral sources, quote status, outcomes, and follow-up in CRM/agency system.
• Proactively follows up on outstanding quotes and works to convert qualified opportunities into bound business.
• Identifies opportunities to round accounts with home, auto, umbrella, RV, flood, and other Personal Lines products.
• Evaluates carrier options and recommends coverage based on exposures, needs, underwriting eligibility, carrier appetite.
• Educates prospects on coverage options with a consultative approach.
• Issues and sends Evidence of Insurance and completes policy issuance for new Personal Lines business.
• Handles underwriting issues and requirements for new-business policies.
• Ensures compliance with carrier, agency, regulatory, and First United requirements.
• Ensures smooth transition of newly bound accounts to service team.
• Maintains and strengthens internal/external referral relationships.
• Some travel may be required.
