Job summary

Hardenbergh Insurance Group is seeking a driven Personal Insurance Account Manager to serve as the primary contact for a book of personal insurance clients and deliver top-tier service. You will process policy changes, respond to inquiries, and support billing and claims while maintaining strong carrier relationships.

The role emphasizes accuracy, multitasking across client needs, and collaborative teamwork in a growing agency environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of personal insurance experience required.
• Active New Jersey Property & Casualty Producer License required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and related applications).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound business decisions.
• Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills.
• Experience working within an Agency Management System (Epic experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of personal insurance clients.
• Process policy change requests and coverage updates, excluding mortgage company changes.
• Research and respond to client and carrier inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Reconcile billing, premium, and coverage-related questions.
• Assist clients with claim reporting, including First Notice of Loss, and support claim resolution efforts.
• Provide solutions and recommendations that meet client needs while maintaining strong carrier relationships.
• Service walk-in, phone, and email client requests with a high level of responsiveness.
• Review expiration lists to ensure renewals are processed and updated in Epic.
• Perform remarketing activities to ensure competitive coverage options.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the Agency Management System.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, carrier requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Support departmental initiatives and special projects as assigned by leadership.
• Maintain records and follow workflows to ensure operational excellence.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively with attention to detail and accuracy.
