Job summary

Thompson Law in Dallas seeks a Litigation Attorney to own a personal injury docket and handle depositions, motions, and trials alongside senior trial lawyers. You will manage cases through filing and resolution, supported by experienced mentors and a dedicated team of paralegals and staff.

You will grow as a trial lawyer with real courtroom responsibility, while the firm offers a base salary plus an uncapped monthly bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a path to first-chair work.

Qualifications

• Texas license to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 3–8 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in active litigation; personal injury experience preferred.
• Solid command of Texas civil procedure and evidence; ability to draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and argue motions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury litigation docket from filing through resolution.
• Take depositions, argue motions, and try cases with senior trial lawyers as mentors.
• Coordinate with paralegals, medical records staff, and support teams to prepare cases for trial.
• Develop liability, damages, and settlement strategies; drive settlement discussions with carriers and defense counsel.
