Thompson Law in Houston seeks a Litigation Attorney to own a personal injury docket, handling depositions, motions, and trials with senior trial lawyers mentoring you along the way.

You will manage cases from filing to resolution, coordinating with paralegals, medical records staff, and assistants to keep you focused on the law, facts, and courtroom work. This role offers robust support and a clear path to first-chair opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
• 3–8 years of legal experience with at least 2 years of active litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury litigation docket from filing through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions; take and defend depositions.
• Coordinate with paralegals, medical records, and support staff to maintain trial readiness.
• Try cases as first- or second-chair and participate in mediations when appropriate.
• Drive settlements by negotiating with adjusters and defense counsel.
• Mentor and lead a team of paralegals and assistants to support docket success.
