The Axel Group is seeking a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Prelitigation Paralegal to join our client's team based out of Clifton, NJ! This client is a lifestyle law firm with a family-first culture offering a competitive salary, employee-paid benefits, and a strong 401k plan!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of pre-litigation personal injury cases.
• Conduct initial client intake and gather relevant documentation (accident reports, insurance info, medical records).
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and gather information.
• Request and review medical records and bills from providers.
• Prepare demand packages and send them to insurance companies.
• Follow up with insurance adjusters to negotiate settlements.
• Draft correspondence, legal documents, and settlement statements.
• Track and manage medical treatment timelines and ensure lien resolution.
• Coordinate property damage claims, lost wage documentation, and other damages.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files in the case management system.
• Assist attorneys with case evaluations and preparation for litigation if needed.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in personal injury law (pre-litigation focus preferred).
• Proficiency with legal case management software (e.g., Needles, Filevine, Clio, SmartAdvocate).
• Strong understanding of the personal injury claims process and applicable laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
