Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Pre-Suit Attorney to join its team in Charleston, West Virginia. The attorney will manage motor vehicle accident cases in the pre-litigation phase and must be able to work from the Charleston office. A West Virginia Bar membership is required.
Duties
- Handle all pre-litigation work daily
- Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval process
- Guide clients through the case process
- Draft and file pre-litigation documents
- Complete TD approval for liability issues
- Oversee settlement negotiations and demand package formation
- Manage the release approval process
- Supervise a team of 6-10 Case Managers
- Focus on personal injury cases, primarily premises
- Drive compliance and KPIs among the team
- Conduct EUOs, PIP statements, and recorded statements
Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar Association
- 2+ years of personal injury experience
- Ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation cases
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
