Our client, a well-established personal injury law firm based in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. The firm focuses on high-stakes and complex personal injury and wrongful death cases, representing individuals and families affected by life-changing injuries. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of paralegal experience, preferably within plaintiff-side personal injury or complex civil litigation. This individual will manage litigation cases from intake through trial, assist attorneys with discovery and trial preparation, coordinate with clients and external parties, and ensure all case deadlines and documentation are properly managed.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury litigation cases from initial intake through trial.
• Maintain case files, legal documents, court filings, correspondence, and litigation deadlines.
• Coordinate with clients, medical providers, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.
• Manage calendars and docketing for hearings, depositions, meetings, and trial deadlines.
• Assist with all phases of discovery, including drafting, reviewing, organizing, and producing discovery responses and documents.
• Coordinate depositions, including scheduling, exhibit preparation, and transcript management.
• Draft and file pleadings, subpoenas, notices, and other legal documents.
• Obtain and organize medical records, damages documentation, and other case-related evidence.
• Prepare case summaries, medical chronologies, and litigation support materials.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates throughout the litigation process.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury litigation.
• Experience working with plaintiff-side personal injury or complex civil litigation matters.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Experience drafting pleadings, subpoenas, notices, and discovery documents.
• Familiarity with court filings, e-filing procedures, calendaring, and case management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong client-service abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-oriented.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
