Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution, including case setup, drafting and filing legal documents, and trial preparation.
- Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys, including legal research, gathering and analyzing evidence, and preparing legal arguments.
- Interact directly with clients to gather case details, update them on case progress, and address their queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure legal compliance in all case management activities and maintain accurate case files and records.
- Utilize legal software for efficient case management and documentation.
- Draft, proofread, and edit a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Apply critical thinking skills to identify, analyze, and resolve complex legal issues.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive client information.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal.
- Proven experience in case management, litigation support, legal compliance, and client interaction.
- Proficiency in drafting and editing legal documents.
- Strong knowledge of legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A paralegal certification from an accredited program is preferred.
- Familiarity with the laws and regulations pertaining to personal injury cases.
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism and demonstrate empathy when interacting with clients who may be in distress.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
