Job summary

The Law Collective Limited, a Los Angeles-based personal injury law firm, seeks a Litigation Attorney to manage cases from filing through trial, focusing on strategy and client advocacy.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, expert coordination, motions, settlements, and trial preparation; work with a bilingual Spanish/English team; hybrid work arrangement after six months.

Qualifications

• JD and active license to practice law.
• Proven experience in personal injury litigation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Experience negotiating with insurance carriers and/or opposing counsel.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file complaints and other pleadings to initiate lawsuits.
• Propound and respond to written discovery and analyze responses for evidentiary value.
• Handle meet and confer efforts and draft/argue Motions to Compel when discovery disputes arise.
• Prepare Expert Designations and coordinate expert disclosure deadlines.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts.
• Retain and coordinate expert witnesses for case strategy.
• Draft and argue motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment.
• Represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Negotiate settlements throughout the litigation process and prepare cases for trial.
