Job summary

Brandon J. Broderick is seeking a New York Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in pre-litigation and litigation phases. The role requires proficiency with legal software, strong communication, and effective time management.

This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a collaborative team in a high-volume PI practice. Responsibilities include drafting filings, coordinating depositions, reviewing medical and other case materials, and maintaining meticulous case calendars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
• Proficiency in Litify, eCourts, and legal databases.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume plaintiff personal injury caseload during the litigation phase.
• Draft litigation documents including pleadings, Bills of Particulars, discovery responses, authorizations, stipulations, motions, and other case-related filings.
• Prepare, file, and serve legal documents through NYSCEF while complying with New York court rules and deadlines.
• Coordinate depositions, court conferences, IMEs, mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Review, organize, and maintain medical records, medical billing, employment records, insurance documentation, and other case materials.
• Prepare medical chronologies, deposition summaries, and attorney case materials.
• Monitor litigation deadlines and maintain accurate case calendars.
• Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, expert witnesses, and court reporting services.
• Organize electronic case files and ensure documents are maintained in the firm's case management system.
• Assist attorneys with case preparation for depositions, settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and other proceedings.
• Perform additional litigation support responsibilities as assigned.
