Crawford Thomas Recruiting is assisting a highly respected New York City plaintiff personal injury firm in hiring a Litigation Paralegal. This onsite role involves one-to-one work with an attorney and overseeing litigation files through the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong NY litigation experience, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to manage a significant caseload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professional client communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience in New York.
• Strong understanding of the New York litigation process.
• Experience managing cases through multiple stages of litigation.
• Knowledge of NY statutes, court rules, and procedures.
• Experience with NY electronic filing systems.
• Excellent drafting and document preparation skills.
• Able to handle a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Independent worker who collaborates with a team.
• Client-focused and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume caseload.
• Maintain organized electronic case files and track deadlines.
• Handle litigation matters throughout case lifecycle.
• Draft Notices of Claim, Summonses, Complaints, Bills of Particulars, discovery demands and responses, Notes of Issue, subpoenas, and other documents.
• Electronically file documents per NY court rules.
• Prepare demand packages and assist with discovery and case development.
• Support trial preparation and organize materials for hearings and depositions.
• Communicate professionally with clients throughout the process.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and the litigation team.
• Maintain accuracy, organization, and client service.
