Job summary

Workway, Inc. is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal in Los Angeles to support attorneys through all phases of PI cases, draft motions, handle discovery and e-filing in CA state and federal courts, and manage calendars for hearings and trials.

Notary Public certification is required, with 3+ years PI litigation experience and bilingual English/Spanish preferred. The role offers healthcare benefits, a 401(k), and opportunities for professional growth within a national staffing firm

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation experience.
• Notary Public certification is required.
• Familiarity with California court rules and e-filing in state and federal courts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient computer skills.
• Experience supporting attorneys throughout all phases of personal injury litigation.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of personal injury litigation cases and assist with various accident and personal injury matters.
• Draft a variety of motions and oppositions, mediation briefs, and legal correspondence at the attorney's request.
• Propound and respond to discovery requests and handle electronic filing (e-filing) in California state and federal courts.
• Prepare requests for entry of default, default prove-up documentation, and minor's compromise documentation.
• Maintain regular client contact through phone calls and office visits, providing professional, responsive, and customer-service-focused communication.
• Prioritize, organize, and manage an active caseload while calendaring all hearings, motions, discovery deadlines, and trial deadlines to ensure compliance.
• Assist attorneys with all aspects of trial preparation, including coordinating expert witness retention and depositions.

The Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:

• Support attorneys through all phases of personal injury litigation cases and assist with various accident and personal injury matters.

Preferred qualifications for the position include:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Pay Rate Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year for salaried positions.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
