The ideal candidate has 3–8 years of legal experience, including 2+ years in PI litigation, with strong Texas civil procedure knowledge and trial readiness. Onsite work, comprehensive benefits, and mentorship await.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from filing through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and physicians.
• Develop strategies for liability, causation, damages and case valuation.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers and defense counsel.
• Represent clients at mediations, hearings and trials.
• Maintain a high-volume, trial-ready caseload and meet deadlines.
• Direct litigation paralegals and collaborate with support teams.
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with clients.

Location: San Antonio, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite | Monday-Friday

Salary: $115,000-$190,000 + uncapped monthly bonus

Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney for a full-time opportunity in San Antonio, TX. This attorney will manage a personal injury litigation docket from filing through settlement or trial while working alongside experienced senior trial attorneys and a dedicated legal support team. The ideal candidate has 3-8 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years of personal injury litigation experience, strong litigation skills, and a desire to gain meaningful courtroom and trial experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from filing through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions involving parties, witnesses, experts, and treating physicians.
• Develop liability, coverage, causation, damages, and case valuation strategies.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and defense counsel.
• Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Maintain a high-volume, trial-ready caseload and meet all deadlines.
• Direct litigation paralegals and collaborate with legal support teams.
• Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients.

Required Qualifications

• JD and active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 3-8 years of legal experience, including 2+ years of personal injury litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Texas civil procedure and evidence.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and settlement negotiations.
• Strong communication, organization, and client-service skills.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX.

Preferred Qualifications

• First- or second-chair trial experience.
• Motor vehicle, commercial trucking, or premises liability experience.
• Knowledge of medical records, injury causation, and damages.
• Spanish-speaking capabilities are a plus.
