Job summary

Thompson Law LLP in Fort Worth, TX seeks a litigation attorney to manage a personal injury docket from filing through resolution. You will work alongside senior trial lawyers, mentor staff, and litigate with a focus on maximizing client recoveries.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 3-8 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years of active litigation experience.
• Personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff or defense) strongly preferred.
• Solid command of Texas civil procedure and evidence; able to draft pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; able to manage a robust docket.
• Clear, persuasive written and spoken communication; client-facing skills.
• Comfortable with modern litigation technology and AI tools as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Own a docket of personal injury cases from filing through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and motions; take and defend depositions.
• Work with medical records specialists to translate injuries into damages models.
• Second-chair and first-chair jury trials, and participate in mediations when needed.
• Value cases, prepare demand packages, and negotiate with carriers and defense counsel.
