Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a licensed North Carolina attorney to lead personal injury litigation from intake to resolution in Raleigh. This on-site role offers direct responsibility on auto accidents, trucking collisions, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death, with collaboration from a supportive case team.

Candidates must have an active NC Bar and 2+ years of litigation experience; plaintiff or defense backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Bar license.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Plaintiff or defense litigation backgrounds will be considered.
• Genuine interest in actively litigating personal injury cases.
• Strong communication, organization, and case management skills.
• Coachable, team-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership.
• Personal injury litigation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Handle cases involving auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, trucking collisions, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death.
• Develop case strategy and move matters proactively toward successful resolution.
• Conduct discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Lead and collaborate with case teams while maintaining accountability for deadlines and case progress.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, experts, and other parties.
• Evaluate case value, liability, damages, and litigation strategy.
• Advocate aggressively and professionally for injured clients.
• Participate in ongoing training and continue developing as a strong plaintiff-side litigator.

Location: Raleigh, NC. This position is designed as an on-site role so you can collaborate closely with your case team. For highly experienced candidates, we are open to discussing hybrid or remote flexibility.

Note: Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in North Carolina and have 2+ years of litigation experience on either the plaintiff or defense side. Most importantly, you must genuinely want to litigate cases and take on meaningful responsibility.
