Job summary

Orion Placement in Beverly Hills, CA is seeking an experienced plaintiff-side personal injury litigator to manage cases from initial evaluation through settlement, mediation, and trial.

The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an accredited law school, an active California Bar license in good standing, and 3+ years of PI or general liability experience, with strong research, writing, motions, discovery, and deposition skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from initial evaluation through settlement, mediation, and trial.
• Draft and prepare briefs, settlement offers, discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, and trial-related motions.
• Take and defend depositions involving clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Interview clients, evaluate case details, identify legal issues, and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Prepare cases for trial through witness interviews, evidence development, investigation, and case organization.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and advocate for their interests throughout litigation.
• Prepare and file complaints, motions, discovery, and other court documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, insurance representatives, and other parties.
• Prepare clients for mediation and settlement conferences while keeping them informed throughout the litigation process.
• Research legal issues and develop persuasive arguments that advance case outcomes.
