Job summary

Orion Placement's client, a well-established personal injury law firm in Fort Lee, NJ, is seeking a licensed attorney with the NJ Bar and at least two years of personal injury experience to join on-site.

The role handles high-volume cases from intake through trial or settlement, drafts pleadings and discovery, conducts depositions and court appearances, and collaborates with staff while maintaining organized, cloud-based case files.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of personal injury law experience.
• Courtroom and deposition experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage 75–100 active cases efficiently.
• Experience with case management software (Needles/Neos preferred) and MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume caseload of personal injury files from intake through trial or settlement.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Maintain organized, cloud-based case files and ensure deadlines are met.
• Communicate effectively with clients, medical providers, experts, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
• Utilize legal research tools and case management software to support litigation.
• Collaborate with colleagues but also work independently with minimal supervision.
