Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of personal injury experience, are licensed in California, and excel in client service, research, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of personal injury experience.
• California Bar license in good standing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of CA civil procedure for state court cases.
• Bilingual ability a plus (Spanish and/or Armenian).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pre-litigation and litigation settlements with insurance companies and defense counsel.
• Litigate personal injury cases from filing through resolution.
• Draft and propound discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft pleadings and perform legal research and writing.
• Attend court appearances and manage trial preparation.
• Provide client-focused service and case status updates.
• Prepare and review settlement demands and related correspondence.

The Shirvanian Law Firm, APLC is a boutique personal injury litigation law firm and represents injured people in pre-litigation and litigation motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death cases. We provide the highest quality legal representation to our clients. The Firm serves clients throughout the State of California with offices located in Glendale, Bakersfield, Riverside, and Sacramento.

Job Details

• Salary: $85,000 – $125,000 per year
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Location: Glendale, CA

Responsibilities

• Negotiation of pre-litigation and litigation settlements against insurance companies and defense counsel
• Litigate personal injury cases from the inception of filing complaints, discovery, until resolution
• Drafting and propounding discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Drafting pleadings and law and motion
• Court appearances
• Legal writing and research
• Customer service with clients
• Pre-trial motions in limine; trial prep; and chairing trials
• Reviewing cases for settlement
• Drafting settlement demands
• Corresponding with insurance companies and defense counsel

Qualifications

• Personal injury case handling experience (1-3 years)
• Licensed by the State Bar of California, in good standing
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Understand CA civil procedure for State Court cases
• Bilingual preference (Spanish and/or Armenian is a plus)

Additional Information

Schedule is full time, with on call and weekend availability when needed. Must have reliable transportation and be a self-starter ready to handle cases under the supervision of the Firm’s managing attorney.

Starting salary is dependent upon experience. Discretionary bonus structure for settlements of Firm cases and generous referral fees for cases brought into the firm per State Bar Rules. Paid time off and vacation availability. Discretionary year-end bonus based on performance.
