Wilshire Law Firm is seeking a skilled L&M Attorney in its PI Litigation department to draft motions and support high-stakes cases involving wrongful death, TBI, catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic verdicts. You will collaborate with trial teams and experts to shape case strategy and advocacy.

Ideal candidates hold California Bar standing, demonstrate strong analytical abilities, and can manage demanding timelines while maintaining client focus.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in California with good standing.
• Ability to quickly identify relevant authority.
• Proficiency with the Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Ability to extract key facts from discovery and deposition transcripts and apply them to case law.
• Proven track record in supporting and opposing dispositive motions.
• Thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.
• Willingness to commute or relocate to Los Angeles, CA (90010).

Responsibilities

• Draft and oppose motions ranging from ex parte applications to complex motions for summary judgment.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys on motions in limine.
• Argue motions and oppositions before judges.
• Work with trial attorneys on case strategy.
• Research and write on emerging legal issues and areas with limited authority.
• Meet and confer with defense counsel.
• Discuss case strategy with experts.

The Opportunity

As our L&M Attorney in our PI Litigation department, you will have the opportunity to draft motions that help our clients and win the largest wrongful death, TBI, catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic verdicts achievable.

Accountable for

• Draft and oppose motions ranging from simple ex parte applications to complex motions for summary judgment.
• Work with trial attorneys on motions in limine.
• Argue motions and oppositions to judges.
• Work with trial attorneys on case strategy.
• Research and write on emerging issues of law and issues where there may not be clear authority.
• Meet and confer with defense counsel.
• Discuss case strategy with experts.

• Ability to quickly identify relevant authority.
• Proficiency with the Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code.
• Superior analytical and legal research skills.
• Ability to identify key facts from discovery, deposition transcripts, and other records and apply them to relevant case law.
• Proven track record of successfully supporting and opposing dispositive motions.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliably commute to or planning to relocate to Los Angeles, CA (90010).

Compensation

• $135,000 - $220,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based incentives.
