Job summary

Speaks Law Firm in Wilmington, NC seeks a North Carolina Licensed Attorney with a passion for personal injury to join our legal team. Analyze evidence, interview clients and witnesses, research statutes and case law, and prepare briefs, motions, and pleadings.

Collaborate with Senior Attorneys to develop case strategies, resolve cases through mediation or trial, and participate in marketing initiatives. This is a full-time, salary-exempt position offering base pay plus commission based on

Qualifications

• Active NC Bar Association member required.
• Active SC Bar Association member preferred.
• Two or more years of personal injury pre-litigation or litigation experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow with nationally recognized attorneys.
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.
• Proficiency in writing, research, negotiation, and public speaking.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Experience with SmartAdvocate Software a plus.
• Passion for advocating for clients and maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Analyze evidence including medical records and investigative findings, interview clients and witnesses, consult field experts, and research statutes and case law.
• Prepare legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, and other correspondence.
• Collaborate with Senior Attorneys to determine case strategies and solutions after thorough analysis and review of plaintiff and defense positions.
• Resolve cases to achieve the best possible outcome for the client through mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Participate in marketing initiatives such as podcasts, blogs, and ad campaigns.
