Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a qualified associate to manage litigation matters involving personal injury claims throughout Northern California. You will handle cases from filing through resolution, including discovery, motions, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation, while delivering outstanding client results.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of litigation experience, strong writing, research, and advocacy skills, and enjoys a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience required.
• Personal injury litigation experience preferred but not required.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent organizational and case management abilities.
• Self-motivated, professional, and team-oriented.
• Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters involving personal injury claims throughout Northern California.
• Handle cases from filing through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and case strategy.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, experts, and medical providers.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to deliver outstanding client results.
• Maintain organized case files while managing multiple litigation matters.
