Responsibilities

• Handle plaintiff-side personal injury matters managing files with urgency and organization.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses.
• Take and defend depositions across a varied personal injury caseload.
• Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and motion practice.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year

Location: This is a full-time, on-site position based in Newark, NJ, offering the opportunity to work closely with a cohesive in-office litigation team in one of New Jersey’s most active legal markets.

Note: Candidates must have 4+ years of personal injury attorney experience and be admitted to the New Jersey bar. These are firm requirements; applications that do not meet both criteria cannot be considered.

Job Description

• Handle plaintiff-side personal injury matters from active litigation through resolution, managing files with urgency and organization
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and a full range of litigation documents
• Take and defend depositions across a varied personal injury caseload
• Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and motion practice
• Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and drive matters toward strong outcomes
• Collaborate closely with clients, experts, medical providers, and internal team members throughout the life of the case
• Prepare cases for trial and actively support trial strategy as needed
• Maintain strong client communication and manage expectations with professionalism and empathy

Qualifications

• 4+ years of personal injury attorney experience (plaintiff-side strongly preferred)
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey
• Strong litigation skills, including drafting, depositions, and courtroom appearances
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while thriving in a team environment
• Excellent written, verbal, and client communication skills
• Trial preparation experience is a plus
• Spanish language skills are a plus
