Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services, Inc. in Florida seeks a Personal Fitness Trainer / Rehab Tech to help senior residents improve health and independence through Legacy’s LiveFit program.

You will develop and maintain Wellness Program memberships, deliver personalized and group fitness plans, document services, and work under the Rehabilitation Director to promote overall wellness and mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nationally recognized personal training or group fitness certification preferred or willing to attain (e.g., ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain membership for Legacy’s Wellness Program.
• Perform and document LiveFit services with residents under guidance of Rehab Director.
• Provide personal fitness through Legacy’s LiveFit program and complete required billing and documentation.
• Deliver LiveFit treatment plans to improve health and fitness goals.
• Provide group fitness and wellness services through LiveFit Program.
• Participate in department and facility meetings as required.

This individual will play a vital role in promoting wellness, independence, and overall functionality among our senior resident population. The Personal Fitness trainer / Rehab Tech will provide a fun and challenging experience, and will discuss, motivate, and teach the fitness member to improve and maintain their fitness and strength. The Personal Fitness Trainer / Rehab Tech is responsible for identifying goals, delivering tailored exercise plans for personal fitness and group sessions in accordance with Legacy’s program structure. The Personal Fitness Trainer / Rehab Tech will assist with marketing the LiveFit program to increase membership.

Position requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• College graduate preferred with bachelor’s degree in related field of study such as exercise science, kinesiology, etc.
• Personal training or group fitness certification – nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred or willing to attain (i.e. ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA)
• Preferred 1+ year personal training or group fitness experience
• Previous experience with senior population desirable.
• Customer service skills to deliver an exemplary experience.
• CPR/AED Certification must be current and
• Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $24.00 /Hr.
