Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in short‑term, surge, and on‑demand situations arising from military needs such as post‑deployment events or in‑service absences.
• Deliver the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at installations.
• Conduct one‑on‑one counseling, consultation with commanders or other staff, briefings, presentations, and referral resources.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and make available informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle (e.g., arrival at first duty station, pre‑ and post‑deployment, and other life events).
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modes, including web‑based, secure online chat, or video‑based communications as authorized.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocol.
• Communicate with leadership, participate in regular individual and group supervision, and share trends and issues relevant to assignments.
• Participate in regular in‑services, training, quality‑improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; associate degree plus 4 years of experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years of experience, may be considered.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressly Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must hold at least one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $58,440 – $93,500 annually, based on national data and adjusted for experience, education, and job‐related factors. Eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, voluntary, and other benefits.
