Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for the course.
  • Instruct students in a hands-on, supportive classroom environment, accommodating all skill levels.
  • Provide clear demonstrations of tools, materials, and appropriate techniques.
  • Encourage creativity, participation, and skill development among students.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom/kitchen/workspace environment.
  • Provide a list of necessary materials and tools for each session; assist in managing class supplies.
  • Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records daily. Technology will be provided in the classroom.
  • Offer feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and innovations in your desired field.

Position Summary Information

The Personal Enrichment Instructor will teach non-credit, personal enrichment classes to adult learners. This instructor will lead hands‑on courses designed to help students develop skills in Special Interests (ex. Floral Arranging, Skilled Games, Trending Hobbies, etc.) The ideal candidate has a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in their desired discipline.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven experience in your field (professional, commercial, or extensive personal experience).
  • Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and current trends in your field.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Passion for teaching and sharing your knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse classroom of adult learners.
  • Comfortable with technology, computers, and online attendance management systems.
