Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

• Report observations of clients' conditions to the Agency Director or accounts manager and notify immediately of incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transfers.
• Help with household tasks essential to clients' personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

State Specific Requirements

• For FL: Completion of at least forty hours of training per the Agency for Health Care Administration or passing the home health aide competency test (Form AHCA 3110-1007).

Skill Requirements

• Flexibility to work hours as needed to meet client needs.
• Ability to work independently in diverse home settings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills.
