Job summary

Flatirons FlexCare for Seniors is seeking motivated students for flexible, part-time non-medical home care in Boulder, CO. You’ll support seniors in their own homes, helping with daily living tasks, companionship, and safe/ comfortable living environments.

Ideal candidates are 18+, able to lift 25 lbs, reliable and compassionate, and willing to complete required training. Flexible scheduling around classes makes this role an excellent resume-building healthcare experience.

• Must complete required home care training before working independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care in clients' homes.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Support mobility, transfers, and light exercise.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals, do light housekeeping, and run errands as needed.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting a Safe & Comfortable Home

• Help maintain a clean, safe living environment
• Report any safety concerns

Helping with Daily Living Tasks

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Support with mobility, transfers, and light exercise
• Provide medication reminders

Light Household Support

• Meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping
• Grocery shopping and errands
• Transportation to appointments or community activities (as needed)

Companionship & Connection

• Engage in conversation and social interaction
• Provide emotional encouragement
• Read, play games, or participate in hobbies together
