Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Center Manager, the Personal Care Attendant (PCA) provides home care services to Jordan Valley Senior Care participants, assisting with daily activities and participating in other supportive tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and escort assistance according to individual treatment plans, including peri-care, grooming, dressing, showering, bathing, toileting, feeding, and ambulation.
• Report changes in participants' conditions to clinical staff.
• Communicate health and safety concerns proactively.
• Follow safe practices and universal precautions.
• Interact courteously and professionally with participants and families.
• Participate in social and recreational activities.
• Assist with interventions and use of mechanical aids for transfers and mobility as trained.
• Occasionally accompany participants to outside appointments.
• Assist with food service and monitoring during meals.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 1 year experience working with the elderly or frail populations.
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid HHA or CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months clinical experience as a PCA, CNA, or EMT.
