Job summary

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is seeking a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to join our Memory Care and Personal Care teams. The role includes assisting with daily living tasks, responding to resident needs, and documenting care activities in coordination with nursing staff.

We offer paid training to earn a Medical Technician Certification within 90 days, with potential pay increases upon certification. Evening and day shifts are available, with bi-weekly pay and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Willing to obtain Medical Technician Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Paid training provided to complete the program.
• Passing the certification test can lead to higher base pay.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living tasks (bathing and grooming).
• Respond to resident needs in a timely manner.
• Promptly answer call bells.
• Complete accurate and timely records.
• Follow instructions and report to nursing staff, Unit Manager, and Administrator.

Rates up to $21.03*per/hour(*rates vary based on prior experience and shift differentials)

• Day Shift: 5:45am-2:15pm
• Evening Shift:2:15pm - 10:45pm

Shift Requirements:

6shifts per bi-weekly pay,every other weekend/holiday required.

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Assist residents with daily living tasks (bathing and grooming).
• Responds appropriately to resident needs.
• Promptly answers call bells.
• Completes accurate and timely records.
• Follows instructions and reports to med nurse, Unit Manager, and Administrator.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (copy required)
• Previous experience in a caregiving role
• Must be willing to obtain Medical Technician Certification (upon completion of first 90 days).
