Job summary

Lakewood Health System in Staples, MN is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents in our Care Center under licensed nurse supervision. You will help with daily routines, mobility, and safety, recording care provided and alerting staff to changes.

We offer flexible shifts (4, 8, or 12 hours), weekend rotations, competitive shift differentials, scholarship opportunities, and a strong benefits package including PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain CNA certification within four months of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to perform resident care, transfers, and repositioning using established safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with daily routines (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating).
• Assist with movement, repositioning, and transfers using proper techniques.
• Promptly answer call lights and respond to residents' requests with patience and care.
• Observe residents, report changes to nursing staff, and complete measurements as trained.
• Record the care you provide and help keep residents' surroundings clean, safe and comfortable.
