About us:

Spread Your Wings (SYW) Direct Care Staff (DCS) are responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive environment that ensures the quality of living for our clients. DCS’s primary duty is to provide support tailored to each individual's needs and desires, enabling independence. DCS should recognize crises and handle situations professionally and safely.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist, monitor, and teach individuals with daytime activities, personal hygiene, and appropriate behavior in their home or apartment. Activities include grocery shopping, menu planning, meal prep, and cleanup.
• Assist, monitor, and teach budgeting skills.
• Teach individuals to hold house meetings and informal discussion groups.
• Handle emergency situations appropriately and utilize crisis interventions when necessary.
• Support individuals in using public transportation and transport them to appointments. Other duties as assigned.

About you:

• Experience preferred but willing to train.
• Professional, respectful, and dignified treatment of clients and co-workers.
