About us:

Spread Your Wings (SYW) Direct Care Staff (DCS) are responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive environment that ensures the quality of life for our clients. The primary duty is to provide tailored support to enable each individual to live as independently as possible. DCS should recognize crises and handle situations professionally and safely.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist, monitor, and teach individuals with daily activities, personal hygiene, and behavior management, including grocery shopping, meal prep, and cleanup.
• Assist with budgeting skills.
• Teach and facilitate house meetings and informal discussion groups.
• Handle emergency situations appropriately and utilize crisis interventions when necessary.
• Support individuals in utilizing public transportation and accompany them to appointments.
