A leading company in elder care is seeking a Personal Care Attendant I to assist participants with daily living activities in their homes or day centers. The role requires strong communication skills, dependability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should have a high school diploma, CPR certification, and experience with elderly care. This position offers an hourly wage of $21.42 - $32.13 and a sign-on bonus of $2,000.
The Position: The Personal Care Attendant I provides assistance to CEI participants in their home or day center. The Personal Care Attendant I demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide personal care and ADL/IADL care to frail elderly who need help to continue living safely in the community. The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) I provides care and services as determined by the participant's care plan in accordance with PACE Regulations. The hourly range for the PCA I position at Center For Elders Independence is $21.42 - $32.13 per hour, based on market rates, experience, skills, abilities, and work history. THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A $2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!
Day Center: Records services, assists with activities, accompanies participants to appointments, ensures wander risk participants wear alert devices, obtains food handler certification, assists with food service, and performs kitchen duties.
Home Care: Monitors vital signs, provides medication prompts, manages catheter and ostomy care, assists with dressing, grooming, exercise, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and follows the home care plan.
Requires frequent standing, talking, hearing, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull over 150 pounds. The work environment involves exposure to diverse health conditions and environmental factors typical of healthcare and home care settings.
