Job summary

Butterfly Home Care of Manassas is seeking dependable and compassionate caregivers to support aging adults and individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities throughout Prince William County. As a Caregiver you provide one-on-one support in homes and the community, assisting with daily living, meal prep, errands, transportation, and companionship while honoring individual choices and dignity.

Qualifications

• Personal Care Aide certification preferred, but not required.
• Previous caregiving, personal care, direct support, or home care experience preferred
• Experience supporting seniors or individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Authorization to work in the United States required
• Ability to pass required background checks and employment screenings
• Ability to complete required orientation and training
• Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependability, patience, kindness, and professionalism
• Respect for individual choice, privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
• Ability to safely perform the physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

About The Role

As a Caregiver with Butterfly Home Care of Manassas, you will provide one-on-one support in an individual’s home and community. Your role will be based on each person’s needs, preferences, routines, abilities, and personal goals.

Caregivers may provide companionship, assist with personal care and daily living activities, prepare meals, complete light household tasks, provide medication reminders, and support individuals with errands, appointments, transportation, and community activities.

We are looking for team members who are reliable, patient, respectful, and professional. The ideal caregiver understands that person-centered care is not about doing everything for someone. It is about listening, honoring individual choices, encouraging independence, and providing the right level of support.

What We Are Looking For

• Personal Care Aide certification preferred, but not required.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Current automobile insurance may be required for transportation assignments
• Authorization to work in the United States required
• Ability to pass required background checks and employment screenings

Work Location

Care is provided one-on-one in the individual’s home and community. Assignments are located throughout Manassas, Manassas Park, and Prince William County, Virginia.

Schedule

Full-time, part-time, weekday, evening, overnight, and weekend opportunities may be available based on current client needs.
