Job summary

Butterfly Home Care in Manassas, VA is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one, in-home support for aging adults and individuals with disabilities in Manassas and Prince William County. Roles include companionship, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation, with a focus on dignity and independence.

We offer flexible scheduling, paid orientation and training, and opportunities to work close to home.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional.
• PCA certification preferred, but not required.
• Previous caregiving or home care experience is preferred.
• Experience with aging adults or individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for transportation assignments.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.
• Ability to complete required orientation and training.
• Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Respect for privacy, dignity, and cultural differences.
• Ability to safely perform essential physical responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare and serve meals based on preferences and dietary needs.
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide non-medical medication reminders.
• Assist with shopping, errands, and appointments.
• Provide transportation for activities and appointments.
• Support participation in recreational and community activities.
• Encourage independence and daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care and service plans and safety instructions.
• Document services provided accurately.
• Communicate changes or concerns to supervisory team.
• Complete other approved care-related duties as needed.
