Job summary

Caremate Wellness Solutions, LLC in DeSoto, TX is seeking caregivers to provide non-medical personal care in clients' homes. You will assist with ADLs, follow approved care plans, and monitor safety and wellness during each shift.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of caregiving experience, strong communication, patience, and compassion for the elderly or disabled. Flexible schedules and health benefit options are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months or more of direct caregiving experience.
• Must be self-directed and service-oriented.
• Need good interpersonal skills, must be service-oriented, possess good bedside manner.
• Must have patience and compassion for elderly and/or disabled individuals.
• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's or willingness to train.
• Skilled in verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Supports clients by assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, meal prep, mobility monitoring, medication reminders).
• Provide direct personal care of a non-medical nature, following an approved plan of care.
• Performs safety and wellness observations each shift and communicates changes to the agency.
• Maintains a safe living environment and adheres to safety standards and procedures.
• Helps family members understand transfers, turns, and repositioning techniques.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in required training.
• Enhances agency reputation by adding value to services offered.

Job Purpose:

Caremate Wellness Solutions provides personal and living assistance services to individuals in the comfort of their own home or residence for the purpose of promoting, maintaining, or restoring health or minimizing the effects of illness or disability.

• Supports clients by assisting with the Activities of Daily Living or ADLs(bathing/dressing/toileting/hygiene/meal prep/assistance with meals/mobilitymonitoring/medication reminders)
• Provide direct personal care of a non-medical nature, following an approved plan of care
• Performs safety &wellness observations each shift. Communicates with the agency about any changes in condition or living environment
• Maintains a safe work and living environment, ensuring the area where care is provided is free from falls, fire, and trip hazards. Adheres to agency safety standards and procedures
• Helps family members or primary caregivers care for the client by teaching appropriate ways to transfer, turn, and reposition if necessary
• Updates job knowledge by participating in agency-required training and education opportunities
• Enhances agency & service reputation by accepting ownership of exploring opportunities to add value to services offered
