Job summary

Caremate Wellness Solutions LLC is hiring for in-home caregivers in DeSoto, TX. You will support clients with daily living activities and provide non-medical personal care according to an approved plan of care.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient service, safety, and the ability to update families on changes in condition. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months or more of direct caregiving experience.
• Must be self-directed and service-oriented.
• Good bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and compassion for elderly/disabled individuals.
• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's or willing to participate in training.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, meals, mobility).
• Provide direct non-medical personal care per an approved plan of care.
• Conduct safety and wellness observations each shift and report changes.
• Maintain a safe living environment and follow safety procedures.
• Educate family or caregivers on transferring and repositioning techniques.
• Complete required training and pursue opportunities to add value.
• Respect client dignity and maintain professional conduct.

Location: DeSoto, TX

Job Purpose:

Caremate Wellness Solutions provides personal and living assistance services to individuals in the comfort of their own home or residence for the purpose of promoting, maintaining, or restoring health or minimizing the effects of illness or disability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports clients by assisting with the Activities of Daily Living or ADLs(bathing/dressing/toileting/hygiene/meal prep/assistance with meals/mobilitymonitoring/medication reminders)
• Provide direct personal care of a non-medical nature, following an approved plan of care
• Performs safety &wellness observations each shift. Communicates with the agency about any changes in condition or living environment
• Maintains a safe work and living environment, ensuring the area where care is provided is free from falls, fire, and trip hazards. Adheres to agency safety standards and procedures
• Helps family members or primary caregivers care for the client by teaching appropriate ways to transfer, turn, and reposition if necessary
• Updates job knowledge by participating in agency-required training and education opportunities
• Enhances agency & service reputation by accepting ownership of exploring opportunities to add value to services offered

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must have 6 months or more of prior direct caregiving experience
• Must be self-directed and service-oriented
• Need good interpersonal skills, must be service-oriented, possess good bedside manner
• Must have patience and compassion for elderly and/or disabled individuals
• Experience working with individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease, or be willing to participate in training to provide service
• Skilled in verbal and written communication

• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
• Must meet background eligibility requirements
• Must provide 2 Professional References
• Must complete all assigned training by agency deadlines
