Job summary

Central Bucks School District seeks a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for Doyle Elementary School for the 2026/2027 year. This full-time, 10-month position includes benefits and a school-day schedule.

The PCA will work one-to-one with a student with behavioral and organizational needs, assist with daily academic and social activities, and support classroom routines from 8:00 to 3:30, with crisis-prevention techniques as a last resort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required at time of hire.
• Must work as a team member, exercise good judgment, effectively communicate with students and adults, and be a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a student with behavioral, emotional, organizational or impulsivity needs in classroom, specials, lunch and recess.
• Assist student with daily academic and social activities and routines.
• May be required to assist with toileting; crisis-prevention techniques may be used as a last resort; training provided by CBSD.

POSITION: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Full-time/with benefits

LOCATION: Doyle Elementary School (Location Subject to Change)

AVAILABLE: 2026/2027 School Year

COMPENSATION: $20.84* p/hr

HOURS: Full-time/10-months/Student days only Exact hours TB D(8:00-3:30 PM)

DESCRIPTION: Duties include working one-to-one with a student with one or more of the following needs: emotional/behavioral needs/organizational and impulsivity needs, in the classroom, specials, lunch and recess. Assist student with daily activities, both academic and social. *If student toileting is required, additional $1.25 per hour will be added to base pay. Employment contingent upon personal care services being required for the student's individualized educational program. Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/Transcripts or GED equivalent required at time of hire (the minimum).Must work as a team member, exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks, effectively communicate with both students and adults and be a positive role model for students. Physical Requirements:to work in a classroom environment for extended periods of time including but not limited to sitting, standing, bending, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, climbing stairs and occasional lifting, up to 20 lbs.
