Job summary

Wallick Communities is seeking a Personal Care Assistant / Caregiver at The Grove at Oakleaf Village in Toledo, OH. This full-time role is 7am–3pm with a pay rate of $16/hour plus shift differential, focusing on compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certified; Nurse Aide certification a plus but not required.
• Previous experience in an assisted living or memory care setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and daily living support.
• Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, and grooming.
• Respond to call lights promptly and address resident/family needs.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and outings.
• Assist residents to and from activities, dining, and events; help with mobility as needed.
• Support teamwork to ensure a safe, comfortable home for residents.

What You’ll Do

Our exceptional PCAs provide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning by helping them thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose. You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.


• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming to include bathing and toileting.


• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’s and / or family needs.


• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.


• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.


• Lifting turning and re‑positioning residents as needed.


• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required


• Organized and self‑motivation to do a great job for our residents.


• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.


• Effective communication skills to interact with co‑workers, residents, family members and peers.


• Ability to read and interpret work instructions


• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
