Job summary

The Landings of Smithfield is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct resident care and support in daily living activities. This role emphasizes empathy, safety, and promoting residents' independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring health, engaging residents in activities, and ensuring a safe, clean environment with adherence to protocols. HS diploma or CNA training preferred; 1 year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in personal care, senior living, or healthcare.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for resident interaction.
• Basic caregiving techniques and safety protocols; able to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Support: assist with ADLs, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, meals, hydration.
• Health Monitoring: observe changes, report to nursing team, remind about medications.
• Resident Engagement: build relationships, encourage participation in activities.
• Safety & Compliance: maintain clean, safe living areas and follow infection control rules.
