Personal Care Assistants at VNH provide non-medical services, including homemaking, assistance with activities of daily living (such as meal planning, grooming, toileting, eating, dressing), reminding clients to take medications, and transportation to support client independence and safety.

The Personal Care Assistant will

Under supervision, provide direct care as outlined in the Plan of Care, including:

• Bathing
• Toileting
• Eating
• Dressing
• Transportation in personal vehicle
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping
• Cleaning living areas
• Running errands
• Medication cueing without administering
• Reporting changes in client's condition
• Documenting activities and submitting paperwork

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with disabled and/or elderly care preferred
• Ability to use iPhone preferred; willingness to learn required
