Job summary

CVSD is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support classified staff in a school setting. The position offers consistent hours and a predictable daily routine from 7:40 AM to 2:40 PM, 7 hours per day across 190 days per year.

Employees receive competitive hourly wages under the CVSD Classified Salary Schedule, plus benefits eligibility through SEBB for those meeting annual hours, and retirement eligibility through the State Retirement Services. Union affiliation with PSE is noted.

Job Description for Personal Care Assistant

Classified Salary Schedule CVSD’s classified positions come with more than just a paycheck! In addition to competitive hourly rates, we provide a paid lunch for classified (non-teaching, non-administrative) employees, an added benefit that boosts total worked vs. paid compensation by 6–10% for those working more than 4.25 continuous hours per day.

Benefits: Employees anticipated to work more than 630 hours per year are eligible for benefits through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Standard benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Disability. Positions anticipated to work 70 hours or more per month for at least 5 months over a 12-month period are eligible for retirement through the State Department of Retirement Services.
