Job summary

Royal Community Support in Newton, Sussex County, NJ is seeking a reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help an individual live independently at home and in the community. This is a part-time, in-person, one-on-one role focused on person-centered care and safety.

You will assist with daily living activities, transportation, and participation in social activities, following an individualized service plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle available for community-based support.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily living skills (bathing, dressing, grooming as needed).
• Supporting housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying, light cleaning).

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Community-Based Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual living in Newton, Sussex County, NJ.

This is a community-based position. The DSP will provide support in the individual’s home and assist with safe, structured participation in community activities.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, patient, professional, and comfortable working independently in a one-on-one setting.

Our approach to services is person-centered, meaning we focus on the individual’s preferences in what they would like out of services.

seeking a DSP who can assist her with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide personal care support. She uses a wheelchair and has a Hoyer lift in her home. A DSP who is comfortable using a Hoyer lift and providing toileting assistance is essential, along with someone who is dependable, patient, and respectful of her dignity and independence.

SCHEDULE:

• Saturday & Sunday
• 9:00am -4:30pm
• OR
• 10:00am -5:30pm
• 7.5 hours shift
• 15 hours a week

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle (community-based support required)
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Authorized to work legally in the United States
