Royal Community Support in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an individual with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their home and community. This community-based role emphasizes one-on-one support, safety, and meaningful activities.

The DSP will follow individualized service plans, support independent living skills, and coordinate transportation. Strong communication and a patient, professional demeanor are essential.

Formación

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual living in Sussex, Sussex County, NJ.

This is a community-based position. The DSP will provide support in the individual’s home and assist with safe, structured participation in community activities.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, patient, professional, and comfortable working independently in a one-on-one setting.

Our approach to services is person-centered, meaning we focus on the individual’s preferences in what they would like out of services.

Seeking a DSP who can support him in maintaining a more structured daily routine. He would benefit from someone who can provide guidance, consistency, and encouragement to help him stay organized and engaged in his daily activities.

SCHEDULE

• x2 days per week
• 8:00am -1:00pm
• OR
• 8:30am -1:30pm
• 5 hours shift
• 10 hours a week

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle (community-based support required)
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Authorized to work legally in the United States
