Royal Community Support – Hackensack Branch is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist in Fairlawn, NJ. This community-based role focuses on person-centered care, independence, and meaningful engagement for adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities are 1:1 in home or community settings, following individual service plans, promoting safety, and supporting daily living skills with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Community-Based Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual living in Fairlawn, Bergen County, NJ.

This is a community-based position. The DSP will provide support in the individual’s home and assist with safe, structured participation in community activities.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, patient, professional, and comfortable working independently in a one-on-one setting.

Our approach to services is person-centered, meaning we focus on the individual’s preferences in what they would like out of services.

SCHEDULE:

• Saturday & 1 day during the week
• Willing to work with DSP availability on time frame.
• 5 hours shift
• 10 hours a week

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle (community-based support required)
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Authorized to work legally in the United States
