Job summary

Mercy LIFE Norristown, part of Trinity Health PACE, is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support participants at home and in center settings. The role provides essential personal care services and health support to seniors, with a focus on maintaining independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, monitoring wellbeing, escorting to appointments, and reporting changes to staff. Flexible scheduling and regional travel may be required to meet participant needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle may be required.

Position Purpose

This role impacts participants lives by providing essential personal care services and health support.

What you will do

• Identify safety hazards and respond to emergencies.
• Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and housekeeping.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization upon hiring.
• Preferred experience in long-term care or geriatric programs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license, insurance and use of personal vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
• Some travel within the region may be required.
